Synergies was recently appointed by a major fast moving consumer
goods corporation to develop and facilitate the successful process
of offshoring some of the back office processes. The intervention
provided a methodology for the successful transfer of information
and knowledge between a project team from India and Subject Matter
Experts from Australia. The project provided a template for future
replication as well as a level of confidence in, and support for
future information transfer and staff redeployment.
Developing Global Savvy
- Cultural Synergies successfully delivered this project to a renowned
multinational entertainment organisation. We worked with a Senior
Executive in the United States to design, develop and prepare for
a series of presentations on the topic 'Developing Global Savvy'.
The program was designed to prepare Leaders as the organisation
expands across the globe and moves from a domestic to a multinational
corporation. The presentations successfully raised awareness on
the impact that culture has on communication, teamwork and leadership.
It highlighted some of the challenges and experiences of working
internationally and provided strategies for working in an international
environment.
Executive Coaching for Multinational
Companies - Individualised, one-on-one coaching to assist
leaders in increasing their inter-cultural effectiveness in their
dealings with employees at home and abroad. Our individualised coaching
has also had proven success in assisting expatriates to assimilate
and adapt to their new assignments with a greater sense of ease.
Developing Cultural Intelligence
- Cultural Synergies was appointed by a world leader in the resource
industry to provide strategies on working successfully across cultures.
A key focus of the project was to prepare leaders for aggressive
global growth into unchartered non-traditional markets. The outcome
was the successful exchange of company core values across borders
and enhanced communication and cultural understandings.

successfully integrated in Telstra's programs. Member of external faculty for Royal Dutch Shell Top 1000 managers
Cultural Diversity Leadership Forum - Shell appointed Cultural Synergies
as one of 12 external consultants to facilitate diversity engagement workshops
for its top 1000 leaders around the world. The workshops were designed to
coach leaders to leverage and harness diversity, thereby promoting a more
inclusive organisational culture. Following this initiative, Cultural Synergies
designed and delivered a series of workshops on ‘Leading Across Cultures'.
These
two-day workshops were developed for the Top 500 managers in Shell Oil Products
(East Zone) throughout the Asia Pacific region. They were intensive, residential
workshops and participants learned more about themselves and their own leadership
and teamwork philosophies, and acquired practical skills and strategies to
develop behavioural flexibility when interacting with people of various cultures.
Since the development of these workshops, Cultural Synergies has been involved
with many Shell projects all over the ‘East Zone'. Working
with Hewlett Packard executives to manage cross-cultural teams in the Asia-Pacific
region - Cultural Synergies works with executives to increase their
understanding of cultural interactions by exploring key dimensions of culture
relevant to interactions between ‘western' and ‘Asian' cultures.
It also provides executives with the intricate details of the social and business
etiquette found in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Korea, and Japan. Design
and facilitation of ‘Increasing Your Cross-Cultural Effectiveness' for
the professional staff development curriculum of the University of Melbourne - Cultural Synergies has recently developed a program with the International
Admissions Department at The University of Melbourne, the first point of contact
for overseas students. The program provides theoretical and practical information
that assists employees in developing an appreciation of ‘culture', and
assists in developing competencies to enable staff to deal more effectively
and successfully with prospective students from different regions of the world. Executive coaching for Autoliv, Fuchs Lubritech and UCB Films -

the management team in Singapore to explore the diversity issues experienced
at bp, to raise awareness, and to generate strategies to address these issues.

and spread awareness of diversity and inclusion among the staff at BP. Negotiation Across Cultures for Foote, Cone & Belding -
